All Time Hall of Fame :: Workout Gear

In Family, Fashion by Madison MayberryLeave a Comment

It wouldn’t take more than a glance or two through my closet to see that I have some very favorite workout gear on rotation again and again. When I say workout gear, I mean clothes I wear both for actually working out, and running around with the kids (which is a workout in and of itself!)

I’m (very) picky about my workout gear. So while I do have some pieces that are less expensive, I am never willing to sacrifice performance for the clothes I wear. You can trust that each item listed fits well, holds up over time, washes well and can be put in the dryer, and are just plain great.

Here are my “hall of fame” favorites!

Run Shorts
Old Navy Mid Rise Stretch Tech Run Shorts
I mean it when I say these are the best shorts for exercising EVER. They are a steal of a price, they hold up well over many many years, the waist is very flattering, and they come in a bunch of fun colors. Plus, I love the built-in underwear.

Long Sleeved Tops/Sweatshirts
Athleta Triumph Hoodie
I’ve had a version of this sweatshirt for YEARS. I think my original Triumph hoodie is over seven years old and I’m still wearing it today. Every time I wear it someone asks where it’s from. I love the funnel neckline and the fit is very flattering.

Retroplush Crew Neck Sweatshirt
I have two of these and they are so comfortable. I love the fit, the thicker material that’s still soft and flattering, and the way it washes so well.

Foresthill Ascent Seamless Shirt
This is a slightly thicker material and more of a cold spring and fall/winter type of top but it’s very flattering and holds up well. I love the color options it comes in, too!

Long-Sleeve Halo Crew
I LOVE this shirt. It’s a great transition piece into spring/summer as it’s a nice weight material. It’s one of my very favorite tops and the cut is great.

Dynamic Fleece 1/4-Zip Sweatshirt
This is a new favorite of mine but since I’ve washed it a bunch of times already, I can safely say it’s a good one. I would suggest sizing up because of the cropped fit. it’s particularly cute with joggers and sneakers.

Spots Bras
Light Support Longline Sports Bra
Oh this is a good one! I’ve had a few of these and they hold up so well, look amazing on, and have the perfect amount of support for those of us women who don’t need a ton of support.

Ziya Spots Bra
This is a newer purchase but a fast favorite. It’s so flattering and the perfect shade of red. I love the longer line of it and the support is a nice medium weight support.

Leggings
Athleta Transcend 7/8 Tight
These are my favorite lounge/running around leggings. They are softer than the Elation (below) but still great for light working out and exercise.

Athleta Elation 7/8 Tight
These are workhorse leggings – great for running and more high impact exercise. They have a bit more compression and are very flattering!
