Small wellness steps when you can’t give it your Small wellness steps when you can’t give it your all….

As I was taking my supplements this morning, I was thinking about seasons of life that have felt particularly physically or emotionally draining. As someone who loves to be on top of their health game, it can be discouraging and frustrating when you have situations that limit what you’re able to devote to feeling your best. You know those seasons? Maybe you’re going through a health crisis that limits your capacity, you’re learning to juggle life with another baby, you’re in a stressful season at work, etc.
.
.
If you’re in one of those seasons, here are a few simple things you can do to care for yourself when you can do all you would like….
.
.
1. Take your supplements.
.
2. Drink plenty of water.
.
3. Practice deep breathing and mindfulness.
.
4. Take regular Epsom salt baths.
.
5. Spend time in God’s word (should have probably put this first!)
.
6. Listen to encouraging podcasts.
.
7. Walk. Pushing your body physically in a season when you might already be under stress isn’t optimal. Exchanging more rigorous workouts for walking for a season is a way to reduce stress and move your body without causing more harm than good.
.
8. Connect with community, share vulnerably, and ask for prayer.
.
9. Take some things off your plate. If it’s optional, think about stepping back from some things for a season as to not stretch yourself further.
.
What other things did I leave out?!

The times you see a full post in my feed dedicated The times you see a full post in my feed dedicated to Beautycounter are few and far between but this month calls for it! Beautycounter is celebrating 10 YEARS and I’m celebrating 8 years partnering with the company I love so much.

If you’re a client of mine or someone wanting to try BC for the first time, I *highly* suggest waiting to order for a few more days. We’ve got a lot of fun up our sleeves!
My littlest baby love. What a gift he has been in My littlest baby love. What a gift he has been in my life. He continues to win over my heart time and time again with his sweet spirit, his inquisitive personality, and the way he brings such a gentle joy and warmth wherever he goes. We are so thankful for 10 months with our Hollace Bear.
Celebrated our sweet, smart, fun, and all together Celebrated our sweet, smart, fun, and all together wonderful little EIGHT year old, Ainsley, today! She is so many wonderful things it’s hard to put into words how much she means to us all, but one of my favorite things this year is seeing how she has grown in both confidence and tenderness. I love the way she loves her baby brother and it’s been such a joy to watch her grow more and more into who God created her to be. We love you so so much, Ainsley girl!
My no-tools-required makeup routine. It takes me f My no-tools-required makeup routine. It takes me four minutes total and I just my fingers to apply it all because I’m a professional like that 😂
Instagram is filled with a lot of “after” shot Instagram is filled with a lot of “after” shots - and I’m not taking about fitness progress photos. I’m talking about the “end result” type of content that showcases the finished product vs that which is in process. Currently, over the last year, I’ve felt like I’m a work in progress. I can’t quite describe it, but I feel like I’ve lost much of myself in this season of welcoming a fourth baby and all that life has held for our family and yet I’ve had the distinct sense that God is also using this as a planting season of sorts, laying the groundwork for future work, future ministry, future fruitful things. I have NO idea what those things are, in fact I have the distinct feeling that whatever I’m being prepared for isn’t immediate but far off. But that in this season where I’m wrestling with both finding and losing parts of myself, I’m resting in what it means to be “almost and not yet” rather than the glorious end result we all desire.
.
.
If you, too, are in a season of being “in process” that feels both like trudging through mud AND like glorious surrender, I’m cheering you on, friend. And I’m waking the road right alongside you.
All smiles for the transforming power of my favori All smiles for the transforming power of my favorite sheer lipstick. This one is for all of you (like me) who love a neutral lip with just a hint of color. Colors in order of photos are…. Lily, Petal, Terra. Three of my all time favorites!
Well, after nearly 10 months we are sitting here s Well, after nearly 10 months we are sitting here saying “so long” to nursing my last baby. What a gift it’s been. Honestly, he was the easiest baby to nurse from the very beginning. Not a single frustrating nursing session. Not a bit of pain or tear shed. A literal dream.
.
.
This week we found out he has a tongue tie, lip tie, and buckle ties. My speech therapist was shocked we made it so far with so few issues nursing - but it makes sense why my supply started to drop around five months and struggled to ever keep up after that.
.
.
It’s SO sad to close this chapter of life. And yet if four times into this motherhood thing has taught me anything, it’s that you need to trust your gut and my gut said it’s a good time to be done rather than fight a battle of trying to revive a supply at the expense of my enjoyment of the months I have left of this sweet baby’s first year. So we will use that extra time gained to enjoy these sweet open mouth kisses and all the amazing things about this sweet baby.
Eight years ago I said yes to an opportunity with Eight years ago I said yes to an opportunity with a small startup company called Beautycounter. I had NO sales experience. No desire to “grow a team” and no real hopes other than to make a little extra income to supplement my freelance career.
.
.
When I say this opportunity has changed my life and the lives of many others on my team, I’m not exaggerating. It’s changed me personally, professionally and financially. I’ve met some of my dearest friends and colleagues.

If you’re a client of mine: thank you for making a difference by choosing clean products and voting with your dollar.
