Home Renovation :: Kitchen Mood Board

We are well into our home renovation now (yay!) and I am so excited about seeing it all come together. You can view our Master Bathroom Inspiration Board and Kids Bath Inspiration Boards for previous posts on our renovation. And now we are moving on to the kitchen!

Since we are using the existing cabinets, I felt a bit limited in terms of what colors I could do with the cabinets. We opted for a creamy white to add brightness to the space while also adding a bit more depth than a bright or crisp white.

For reference, here are the photos of what things looked like when we bought the house!

Emtek Timeless Classics Collection Knobs and Pulls
They look so great in the places we have installed them already! They have slightly rounded edges that feel great in the hand without looking “too rounded” if you will.

Johnson Hardwoods Caerphilly Engineered Hardwood Floor
These hardwood floors were a very long-researched choice because they are non toxic, just the right shade of brown and were both a durable and cost-effective choice. A perfect middle ground!

Cambria Colton Countertops
This is part of the Cambria classic collection.

Benjamin Moore Natural Cream Cabinets
We wanted a creamy neutral that read warmer than white and still felt bright and light because we are reusing the existing cabinets. The soffits will also be painted the same color to help bring uniformity to the space and help the soffits feel more like regular cabinets.

Elkins Sconces
These sconces are going to be flanking the kitchen window since it’s inset a bit and surrounded by wood framing on either side.

Harleigh 8″ Glass Pendant Lights
We didn’t have a lot of space to work with in the kitchen so we are doing two smaller pendants over the peninsula.

Benjamin Moore Copley Grey
This is the color we plan to paint the cabinets of the coffee nook and the cabinet above the counter. We will be leaving the existing tile for now – our plan is to wait to see how it all looks and decide after that. We think it’s a fun nod to the era of the house and are hoping it works with the rest of the kitchen!

Benjamin Moore Fieldstone
For the coffee nook area.

Brizo Litze Faucet and RO Faucet
We did Luxe Gold for our kitchen and the black with gold accents for our coffee nook area
